Singularity

The technological singularity - or simply the singularity - is a hypothetical future point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable consequences for Human civilization.  The term "singularity" also refers to any radical changes in society brought about by new technology (such as AI). Some Researchers specifically state therefore that without superintelligence, such radical changes would not qualify as a true singularity.
